🎯
When to use this — the Dashboard or Filings page shows Approve your filings with "N prepared returns need your sign-off", or you've been emailed that returns are ready. Respond by the date shown.

Before you start
- [ ] Your own sales and tax report for the period, to compare against each return's tax amount
- [ ] If you'll reject anything: a clear explanation of what's wrong (at least 20 characters), and any supporting file
- [ ] You're a Manager of the organization; everyone else sees the returns without buttons
Steps
- Open the Approve your filings panel on the Dashboard or the Filings page.
- For each row, compare the period dates and total remittance with your records, then click Approve or Reject. (Approve all / Reject all are available.)
- If anything is rejected, fill in Why are you rejecting? (20 characters minimum; the box counts down until Save unlocks) and, if useful, Attach files.
- Click Save selection. You'll see "Submitted: N approved, N rejected."
Done when
- The panel disappears, or reads Nothing to approve right now. Returns you rejected stay listed under Being reworked (marked Issue, no buttons) until HOST re-presents them
- Approved returns later appear under Historical filings as Filed
Guidelines
- All or nothing. Every row needs a decision and nothing is sent until you click Save selection.
- Reject with a reason HOST can act on — "TX should be $1,240; see attached report" — not just "wrong".
- Approving authorizes HOST to file and remit; the filings bank account is debited for the remittance.
- Respect the Respond by date. A late approval can mean a late filing.
