Map Fields

Other than that it looks good

One of the biggest changes in the process is that you no longer need to reformat your data to match our template. You can now upload your existing import file and map its columns to the required import fields.

The default template remains available if you’d still prefer to use it.

On the left under COLUMN IN YOUR FILE, you’ll see the column names from your file. On the right under SALES TAX CENTER FIELD, you’ll see the fields we need for import.

For each of your columns, select a corresponding Sales Tax Center field that matches.

Example: My cart uses TransactionID so we’re going to map that to DocCode and Date which were going to map to DocDate.

From this screen, you can also save your field mapping for future use. This is useful if the file you’re importing will always have the same columns; you don’t have to manually remap the columns every time.

To get started, click where it says e.g. Shopify export under Save current as. Enter the name you want to use and hit Save.

Next time you visit this screen, you can just select the mapping from the dropdown under Load a saved mapping.

Once complete, click Upload and check.

Review and Submit

You're not done yet! Once the file is validated you'll need to review, make any required changes, and re-upload before actually submitting the final dataset.

On the review screen, you'll see a summary of the data you've uploaded. At this point nothing has been actually uploaded so feel free to make changes to your file as needed, re-upload, and re-submit before proceeding.

Transactions will be included in the filing period that matches the DocDate. Our import will not automatically roll historical transactions forward to the current period.

The Import Review screen will let you know if historical dates are detected and give you the option to roll the transactions forward to the current period.

IMPORTANT: Confirm Import Success

There’s still a chance the import could fail, so be on the lookout for an email confirming the upload was successful. If you receive an email with errors like this, all or some of your data was NOT uploaded. You will need to download the file, review, correct, and upload again.
