Filings is where HOST's managed filing service lives: the bank account and card it runs on, the states HOST files for you, returns awaiting your approval, the places you ship from (fulfillment locations), the filing calendar, upcoming and historical returns, and a monthly registration health check.

The managed filing cycle

  1. Register in each state (see 7. Jurisdictions) โ€” or tell HOST about registrations you already hold.
  2. Set up your filings bank account and payment method (below).
  3. Add each state to filings โ€” HOST reviews the details and moves the state to Active.
  4. Each month, upload your transactions during the upload window (see 9. Transactions) or connect a data source (see 10. Integrations).
  5. HOST prepares the returns. When they're ready, you approve them here.
  6. HOST files and remits. The return appears under Historical filings and in the state's Filings History.
