ResaleCertify lets a single user account belong to multiple organizations. This page covers how that works, how to add and switch orgs, and the EIN-collision claim flow that protects existing org data when a new user enters an EIN that's already on file.

Why multi-org?

Many HOST customers — accounting firms, holding companies, multi-entity small businesses — manage resale certificates for several legal entities. Each entity needs its own EIN, registrations, and vendors. ResaleCertify models each entity as an organization (org); one user account can be a manager or viewer in any number of them.

Choosing an organization on login

If your account is a member of two or more orgs, signing in routes you to /select-org:

What you see

Click a row to switch into that org — ResaleCertify clears its query cache so the dashboard reflects the new org, then sends you to /dashboard.

When there's only one org

With just one org, the /select-org step is skipped — you go straight to the dashboard.

Switching orgs from inside the app

The organization switcher lives in the header (the button labeled with the current org's name).
