People holds two lists: Contacts (who HOST and jurisdictions can reach about your business) and Officers (the owners and principals most states require on a registration application, including the officer who signs). Officer requirements depend on your Business Type.

Where this lives

Contacts

People to reach about this company — accountants, bookkeepers, and other points of contact.

• Click Add to open Add Contact. Required: First Name, Last Name, Email, Phone (10+ digits). Title / Role is optional.
• The pencil edits a contact; the trash icon (managers only) removes one after a confirmation ("Remove … ? This can't be undone."). Contributors can add and edit but not remove; viewers can only look.
• Having at least one contact is one of the three checks for Register in a jurisdiction.

Officers

People and businesses with ownership in the company. Required by most jurisdictions for registration; the signing officer signs applications on the company's behalf.

The requirements banner

The Officers card: the requirements banner, Person Officers and Business Officers.

The Officer requirements banner shows Met or Incomplete and lists the rules for your business type:

• Person officers: N (need X)
• Total officers: N (max Y, person and business combined) — the cap counts both kinds of officer together
• A signing officer is designated — shown when your business type requires a signer
• Ownership recorded (currently N%) — shown when ownership must total 100%

Green checks mean satisfied; amber alerts mean still to do. Everything shown must be green before you can register in a jurisdiction.
